Wow, the 1st of September already. Two months till NaNoWriMo…..

Right, not thinking about NaNo just yet. Yesterday my plan didn’t quite go to, plan but I still got the core of what I wanted done, done. I learnt a lesson that I really need to have sink in. I don’t need to be in a perfect environment to edit. I cracked on with Zombie edits again last night and made some good progress with it. I do have an editor lined up to look it over but not the cash yet. But that gives me a little helping hand as it’ll give me time to let it sit for a couple more weeks and I’ll have another look at it before I send it off.

Today I’m going to look at CS1 and start getting that shaped up. I too often get preoccupied with hitting a word count for a day, but I need to learn how to balance things out and get what feels like a ton of editing done. I’ve still got short stories from last years NaNo that I haven’t polished.

That said, I’m at a write-in so I probably won’t get much done at all! Outside of November (NaNo season) we don’t write much during write-ins, but we have some great conversations.
