NaNoWriMo 2016: Day Twenty-Four

A really quick post today, just 672 words done which puts me on 46,461 words for the month. Those words were written before work and during my lunch break. I didn’t write anything this evening because after a visit to see my grandad I had a bed to put together. It took a little longer than I was expecting.

I’m not too concerned at the moment, I’m still about four days ahead of where I should be. I’m still feeling the urge to smash out these last few thousand words with some serious sprinting, so I’m still aiming to hit the 50k on Saturday but we’ll see what the next few days brings.

Hopefully a decent nights sleep will help.

NaNoWriMo 2016: Day Eight

Yesterday I cracked out just over 1300 words. I was fairly confident I wouldn’t hit target as I was at the cinema last night (Doctor Strange was awesome) but I managed a few words during my lunch break and I knocked out the rest when I got home.

I’d love to be hitting another 2k+ day again today. I’ve got a Write-In with my local NaNo group tonight and I’m hoping that’ll get me there.

NaNoWriMo 2016: Day Seven

After three days of fighting a cold I’m feeling like I’m well over the worst of it, and today’s word count reflects that. 2245 for a total of 11681. I’m pretty chuffed with this, I had a slow start this evening and had to do some research but I managed to get some solid words down towards the end of this evening.

I’d have liked to of gotten a few morewords written as I’m at the cinema tomorrow so I’m not sure how I’ll do, but if I don’t hit target I’ve got a Write-In on Wednesday night that I’ll hopefully make up any shortfall on.

NaNoWriMo 2016: Day One

I’ve written 2045 words today. At one point this evening I wasn’t sure I’d get more than the minimum of 1667 but during my second of two sprints with my local NaNo group I managed to smash out those extra few hundred words to pass over the 2000 mark on the first day.

Breaking things down: I wrote about four hundred words first thing, then another 450-500 at lunch and the rest this evening after getting home from work and visiting my Grandad, and eating etc. I think this’ll be how my word counts across a working day will roughly go.

Now, I’m off to read a bit of Fragile by Justin R. Macumber before bed.
