Okay, here’s the problem I’ve been dealing with in trying to figure out what to write about this latest film in the Terminator series; I can’t be a good and fair judge on it as it erases one of my all time favourite movies ever, Terminator 2: Judgement Day.

Because of this I’ve got a tainted view of the film. It’s faults appear to be the size of the grand canyon, and I struggle to see it’s good points.

I think from the moment I learned what storyline the film was going to follow it was always going to be a ‘no win’ with me. I’d like to be able to be the bigger man here and say I was able to get over my disappointment that  we didn’t get another film after Judgement Day had come and gone. I wasn’t able to get over my disappointment that they did decide to go back to about the time of the first terminator film and basically reset the entire series.

I will watch this again, and I’ll continue to give this film a chance, I want to at least like Terminator Genisys.
