Okay I know its still a few months away yet, but I am properly thinking about NaNoWriMo. This will be my second year giving it a go, last year I hit just over 30,000 words, which I was rather impressed with if I’m honest. I started off well but blew myself out and ran out of steam and my story kind of died a bit of a death. I did not do any prep work for last year, I had an idea and just steamed on with it. A little like a bull in a china shop. So this year I am going to give a story that me and Owen have had around us for a few years a go. Owen has dropped away from this story but he’s keen to see what I do with it. We had a beginning to it and I had a go at writing it again last year, but now I have a much more comprehensive idea of the story that I want to write. The core is still pretty much the same but I’ve gone through a lot of little ideas on how to make the story more complete. This is something that I am getting more and more confident about each day. Not only that I might actually hit the magic 50,000 word mark during November, but that I can make this story work this time. In the next few days I will start putting these notes on paper and get preparing for it properly this year round 🙂
Good luck! As long as you prepare well and have an idea about what you’re going to write, hopefully you won’t hit the dreaded Writer’s Block and be able to continue till 50k words. =]

That is what I’m hoping as that’s what happened last year! 😀
I’m sure I can hit the 50k this year 🙂
Thanks for taking the time to read, and comment 🙂
