I finally got cracking on my edit of the second draft of Project Delphi tonight. I’ve had a couple of days away from it since finishing it earlier on the week which I think has been a good thing. I did the spelling and grammar first, Microsoft Word said I had a lot……. Once that was done I knocked out ten pages in about half an hour. I would have done more tonight but i had a couple of minor bits and pieces to do so I got those sorted out too. Come tomorrow night I will hopefully get another twenty or so pages cleaned up. This read through that I am doing is simply to make sure that I havent left anything out, or in. I know I have a couple of things to add and I’m seriously considering giving a character another defining feature but I need to speak to Owen about that first. I am not particularly happy with the ending either. It felt a little rushed as I was writing it so I’m eager to get to that point to see how it reads. That is something that I have noticed when I am writing, I come to the end of a story and it feels like I rush to wrap it up. It feels like I’ve left details out, or have not put my best into it even when it seems okay on the face of it, but that is what Beta readers are for 😀
