Grabbing Words

Last night I was out with some friends for dinner, and due to interruptions I’d only managed to get 150 words written during my lunch break. So, not many words done. When I got home though and was about to pop the TV on and watch an episode of Breaking Bad I had this sudden urge to write, so I did. I only had about twenty minutes before I would have a call to take but in those twenty minutes I knocked out 557 words on  the short story I’m working on in Owen and mine’s universe.

This is something I’d really like to get better at, taking the little snippets of time I may get during any given day and snatch a few words when normally I wouldn’t. It’s examples like last night that show me I can do it.

I’m also worried about my vampire story I’m working on, I’m liking what I’m writing but not how it’s coming out in the timeline of the story. I’m really begining to regret having this as a collection of intertwined first person point of view stories. When I write the first book it felt very natural but now with book two it’s holding me back to the point where I’m getting very annoyed.

The next few days I’m going to focus on other work while I let this vampire collection work through in my head to see if I can come to a solution.

Have a great day everyone 🙂
