Good morning everyone!
It is a typical December day here in the UK, well the South East where I am anyway. What I think of as a typical December day is grey, damp and chilly. So I am sat at my desk ready to write. I’m going to get this post knocked out, write for about an hour or so and then I’ll be out for a couple of hours.
I’d really like to get the second draft of this short story typed up by the time I have to leave, but its not the end of the world if its not done today.
I have been working on a short story in my serial killer universe, that’s somewhat on hold while I’m typing this other story up, but it’s one of the ones that I mentioned yesterday that were quite active in my head and demanding attention. It feels like it’s coming together quite well, and has been one where I’ve had some false starts with. That seems to be part of my process for some work; I have a few false starts, walk away from it, but after a while something comes along where it’s the element that brings it all together as a story. Another trait I have is knowing how a story is going to end but not really sure how to get there. That’s where I am with this story at the moment. The ending is somewhat in sight, but I’m not sure what my characters are going to do between where I am now and where the story should end. So, a little exciting, and frustrating in figuring out what type of path I will be trekking to get to that conclusion.

Right, I’m off to tackle a story with a delusional cult leader and three naked captives. Have an awesome day, folks! And if it’s a shit day, take a deep breath and have a laugh. Then crack on, we can dictate how our worlds are by how we handle these hurdles that life throws our way.
