Howdy, folks! How are we all doing today?

Yesterday I wrote for about two hours and added 1382 words to Penal Earth 2, and edited 905 while doing it. It was pretty straight forward if I’m honest. I just popped a playlist on YouTube and cracked on. I did have a slower start as I got distracted by a few videos on that platform, but I got cracking in the end.

Today I’ve managed 200 words on War Child in about 40 minutes. 1558 words written and 694 edited in around about two hours on Penal Earth 2. Then about an hour on the Penal Earth bible. This stage of the bible is frustrating because it’s just reading through Penal Earth noting down all the important moments, when I just want to get stuck into book two.

Where I’ve put my desk looks out across the garden and I can see the birds going to and throw to the feeders, which is distracting. I’m not sure thats a bad thing, the way I write is I’ll write a few words, get distracted for a beat or two and then get back to the words.

I want to get more consistent with filling the feeders in the garden. I live in the middle of countryside and the potential to have a lot of birdlife in the garden is pretty high. At the moment our main visitors are Wood Pigeons, Street Pigeons and Doves, House Sparrows, Blue Tits and Great Tits, Blackbirds, Wrens, Robins, Dunnocks, and Magpies. We also get Swallows, Goldfinches, Greenfinches. We occasionally get Pheasants, Greater Spotted and Green Wood Peckers. Jackdaws, Carrion Crows, Herons (which irritates my mum as she’s worried for her fish!). We had a Sparrowhawk in the garden the other day, which I was really happy about.

And although not birds we do have bats, but those are bloody hard to see and drive Max batty of a nighttime because he knows there’s something flapping around, but he can’t see them and barks his head off! We do get foxes occasionally, and used to get rabbits but I think Raven has scared them all off.
