Last week was a real hit and miss week in a lot of respects. Fiction wise there was little created but I had a few ideas, mainly little world building details. I was a little struck down at the weekend with a cold, nothing major but I felt like my head was filled with a cloud of smoke. So little got done but this week I feel like I have a new enegy about me, I’ve had some good ideas and I can feel some creativity seeping through again. I’ve been watching the the final series of Prison Break, I watched it over the weekend as I rode out the head cold. It gave me some bloody good ideas which I’m working through and trying to find out if I can sculpt them into workable stories and ideas.
I’ve just got Owen’s notes back from him on Project Delphi so I’m planning on going through those on Thursday night and it’ll be another chance for me to proof read it. As I’m doing this I’m going to read it out loud to myself and see if it works as well as other writers say it does.
Reading your writing out loud really helps, Peter, so give it a go 😀 Sometimes our heads are set to automatic reading and we unconsciously miss typos or weird wordings of sentences. Read it out loud and you will see that proof-reading gets easier 🙂
