As I’m editing my WIP I’m adding to it as I go. Some of what I had already wrote was more of an outline then something I’d expect to include in a piece of work so I’ve been fleshing these bits out and fell into a trap that I’ve fallen into before and I fear I will fall into again. Basically I added a paragraph to the end of a chapter which was all but the same as the first paragraph of the next chapter. So I ended up reading through both paragraphs and keeping (with a few tweaks) the original paragraph.
In the back of my head I knew I had already wrote that piece but my head did not pass that information from memory to the creative part of my grey matter.
This is the first time that I have done this on this WIP but it has left me feeling like a complete and utter doughnut! I should have learnt this lesson by now.
Hopefully now I have.
