I’m going to attempt to blog each evening about how NaNoWriMo is going. Some days it may only be a few words, other days it’ll be a bit longer.

To today though, I joined in with a number of my local NaNoers and started off at midnight and managed to get 1154 words written in about an hour, but had to call it a night then. I was pretty beat.

I cracked on at about tenish this morning and wrote on and off until early afternoon. I managed a total of 3623 for the day, which I’m well happy with 🙂 

I’m quite happy with how it’s going so far, I haven’t got a handle on the main character yet though. That’s concerning me a little, at the moment he’s kind of two people and I need to figure out which one will work better in the story.

A mistake I am making a fair bit at the moment is that I keep slipping into first person narative when I’m trying to write in third person. I’ve been working mainy in first person recently and I keep slipping into it as I’m writing. Hopefully I’ll be able to break that habit quickly.

I was hoping to crack on further and try to get closer to the 4k mark but my brain was frazzled. So I faffed about on Xbox for a while. It’s been ages since I’ve played GTAV, I gave the online aspect another go and I think it could be a lot of fun given the time to get stuck in. And I’m wrapping the day up with watching some Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
