NaNoWriMo 2015: Day Two

Today I was back at work so I had to write around it. This is something I’ve done over the last couple of years; I write before work, during my lunch break and after work when I get home. By the time I’d gotten home I’d managed just over 900 words before work and during lunch. This left me with about 700 words to get done tonight and I ended up doing about 1400 for a total of 2320 words for the day, 5943 in total.

I keep meaning to go back to my data from last year so I can compare this year and last. I’m not looking to try to out do next year, I’m just interested to see how the two compare.

As for the story, I’m pretty happy with how things are going. I’m still not a hundred per cent sure which way this protagonist is going to go though. I haven’t got his voice right just yet, but that could take some time. It’s something that can be fixed when I come to edit it.

I did introduce some secondary characters though who seemed like they could be a lot of fun, but I’m not sure what I’m going to do with them, part of the joy of writing by the seat of my pants. I am getting a feel for the setting I’m working in now though. I think this could be quite a fun playground to play in.
