So, after twenty-eight days, and 55,672 words this year’s NaNoWriMo has caught up with me. Last night I wasn’t feeling great and throughout today my brain has felt like mush all day. I’ve only written 552 words for the day and I’m honestly not too worried about not having hit more. After yesterdays 4700 words I feel like I’ve got words in the bank. With today’s words I’ve passed my best NaNoWriMo total now.
I do feel like I’m loosing a little momentum, but I think that’s because my brain is as mush  as it is. I’ve also pretty much wrapped the story as much as I can do without starting a big edit.
The lesson I’ve learnt this year is that I need to know what I’m writing. This is the third year I’ve written the 50k, so I know I can do it. But the story is all over the place, and it will take a bit of work to sort out. What I’ve got to learn is to go into a story knowing what story I want to tell.
With a couple of days left I’ve got one last Write-In to go to, and I do have scenes I want to work on with this story. So a good couple days work to go.
Keep us up to date when you rewrite and revise!

I will do. As this is FanFiction it’s not going to be at the top of my priorities but as it’s something I’ve learnt a lot from so far it’s always going to be near the top.
