Good evening, folks! How are we all doing this evening?

The last couple of days I’ve been making slow progress on Penal Earth 2 and a short story that’s under the working title of Exile. This is a story set in my Vampire Era world and one that is away from the main story I’ve been working on. It’s somewhat of a challenge as it covers the story of one vampire over a number of years. I’m not sure how I’m going have the final draft but at the moment I’m thinking it’ll be a number of flashbacks as this character is reflecting on his life. It’s a little like War Child in that I’m having to stretch my writing wings and push myself with a story I’ve not tried before. At the moment it’s a mess, there’s no real order at all but that’ll be fixed in the edit.

So far this month I have written 2759 words, and edited 30676 words in about nine hours. Compared to last month I’m on course to improve what I managed in May. I keep trying to find a way to focus myself, to become more efficient. Maybe looking to exceed my previous months numbers will help that.
