Last night I found it really difficult to get the words out. I wasn’t writing more then a few sentences before Facebook caught my attention or something like that. What I was writing should have been quite exciting for the reader and testing for the characters. I think I’m at the make or break point which I hit every year which normally breaks me, but I’m not going to let it this year. I’m not entirely happy with how the pacing of this story has turned out nor how some characters have dropped away. I’m itching to go back and edit a lot of what I’ve written so far but I’m not going to. That’s for when I go back and look at the story once it’s done. I did manage to get just under the minimum word count for the day though. So it’s not a total loss.
Done, that’s the key word here. I am going to get this story done no matter what. I’ve passed my word count from last year and I know where the story is going to end up I just need to get there. The next few days will have limited writing time as I’m off away for the weekend with Tracie but I’m certain I’ll be able to knock out a few words and having a little breather from the writing might prove refreshing.
Something I’m not going to do is have a breather after NaNoWriMo’s finished. Once December 1st gets here I’m straight back into editing Project Apollo and I’m not giving up the habit I’ll have built up of working in the evenings.
How is NaNo going for you? And if you want to buddy me I’m PeterJReaper over on NaNoWriMo.org 🙂
