Good evening folks!

Where I had my daughter this weekend I didn’t even think about writing until after I’d dropped her off this evening.

When I did get home I had a shower and fired up my desktop and did about 40 minutes on Penal Earth 2. About 1200 words edited, and about 500 new words added.

War child is very front and foremost in my thoughts at the moment. I’ve had a couple of breakthroughs with how I need to fix a couple of the major problems I have with the story. I’ve kind of written one out, while the second one is still percolating in the grey matter. The first one, although it fixes an overall problem it’s only going to end up a short scene. The second one, well that’s a little more world building and will need some research and further thinking out.

This past week I’ve watched Alien: Romulus, which was really good. It hit a lot of the right notes for me, I liked the protagonist, the acting was bang on, and Fede Alvarez is quickly becoming someone I’m excited to see where his work takes him.

Another film I watched was Nosferatu. This really impressed me. The film as a whole was beautifully put together and it’s the first film for a long time that left me silenced for a few minutes afterwards. Strangely enough, another film by this director, Robert Eggers, also left me speechless. That was The VVitch. The VVitch has stayed with me on a level deeper than dna. Although I’m not sure Nosferatu is going to have the same effect on me it’s one which has still blown me away. I’m going to have to check out Eggers other work now.

I have a busy week coming up, so I’m gonna wrap this up and get my head down.
