Howdy, folks! How are we all doing this evening?

I’ve had a productive day. I managed some brainstorming during my break on the next project, simply titled ‘Merch’ for the time being. There is a lot of work to do on this one, but it’s a story that has been very, very, vocal in my head the last few weeks. So I’m going to make a start on it in the next few days, most likely during my breaks at work for the moment. This one is a long way off, but I’m excited to get into it.

Penal Earth book 2 is still my priority. I’m getting stuck into the red penning of it, not as many changes as I feared, so far. A few continuity tweaks that need to be made, and some really dodgy sentence structures. Overall I’m pretty happy with it so far, I know I’ll likely have a lot to fix overall but I’m feeling pretty good about it. One thing I am still concerned about is part of the ending. I think I need to put more into it, but we’ll see.

Today has felt good. Despite splitting my trousers at work and spend most of the shift with my work jacket tied around my waist like some wannabe boyband member from the 80’s making sure I didn’t flash my arse to anyone. But I got home, had a shower and got into the red penning. Then I read through a chapter of this beta read for a fellow writer, then I gamed for a few hours, with the intention of wrapping up about 8pm. I kinda did. I’ve got this concept in my mind that I’m trying to work too. I get home from work, write for an hour of two and then flake out till about 8pm and then do a blog post, get ready for bed so I’m ready to start a movie by 9ish. Then I can (hopefully) ease into sleep. Today is the closets I’ve got to this concept.

Yesterday I posted the first episode of Black Blood to my Ko-Fi. I am serialising this story, one chapter a week. The first episode is free to read for everyone, after that a tip will be needed. I know, cheap move but I’d like to get some funds back in from writing, to pay for writing.
