Firstly I finished my draft of a story me and Owen have been working on, AT LAST!!!!!  My draft has topped out at just over 20k words but I think more will be added to it as me and Owen smooth out the details and add in the necessary bits and pieces that will build the universe.  Since I think thursday I’ve written about 1700 words of fiction which I’m very pleased about.  Despite my relaxed attitude about my struggles with getting words written there were times when I was worried that I would not be able to get cracking on the writing front once more, so I am more than a little relieved now that I’ve got over that hump.

As for Project Apollo me and Owen have made a few little steps the last couple of days.  I’m struggling not to jump straight in and start writing this, I’m also trying to hold  Owen back a little with it too.  We need to hold back because we have to plan this out, we have an epic amount of research to do and set the plot out a little.  As well as sort out a few character details before we begin writing.  This is tough for me because I want to start writing it but with this we need to plan it out.  I’ve gone steaming into big projects before and ran out of steam so with Project Apollo I want us to know (roughly) where we’re going with it.

This morning I gave a few notes on a short story by a friend.  It was the first time that I had read anything by her and I liked what I read, I enjoyed making a few comments as well, I just hope she’s found those comments helpful 🙂
