My word count for today is 1675 for a today of 26696 words for the month.

I knew today would be a change of pace from the last week. Having all the time in the world to write was an awesome luxury to have but I’m back in the real world today. I did hit the word count I wanted, although didn’t get past it at all. I’m okay with that. Now is all about pacing myself and not trying to smash out as many words as I can.

What I’ve got to try and keep is the focus I had last week. When I sit down to write I’ve really got keep the flow going as I have done while making the most of small slots of time I might have. I know I’m going to get a few times when I’ve got a few minutes to spare and that’s when I’ll be doing what I think of as snatching words. This can sometimes feel like I’m writing a little disjointed but I think it’s likely not as bad as I think it is.

This is when NaNo really kicks in for me. This is when I have to step up and manage my time properly.
