Howdy folks, how are we all today?

Yesterday I wrote just over 200 words in twenty minutes during my break. I was expecting this for yesterday. Although not too different from my regular shift length doing a Sunday is a little different. Where the shift stretches across the bulk of the day it feels a little more of a slog than weekday or Saturday shifts. Even though it’s normally constantly busy for those six hours were open, it can feel like a long day. Yesterday wasn’t too bad, it just kinda of cracked on. It helped I had a later break I think.

The words I wrote were on the Mars story and a potential opening scene. I’m not sure I’ll use it, it depends on how the story as a whole comes out. If it doesn’t fit the vibe then it’ll be scrapped.

I’ve got the feeling I’m not going to knock a lot of words out this week. I’ve got my daughter at the weekend so I’m working each day weekday. That said I do have some later starts than normal so that does give me the opportunity to get words wrangled before work, if I can resist the urge of a lay in. I probably won’t write after work today as I slept incredibly bad last night and I’m feeling the fatigue a bit.
