Howdy folks, how are we all doing tonight?

I’ve written for about an hour over three sittings today and wrote 1335 words on Lovers, which pretty much wraps up the story. I now need to sit down and get this into linear order and then work on the first edit pass. I expect I’ll be doing the normal editing bits of tidying up, and looking for inconsistencies and making sure I get all the character details correct. I want to look at what time period this takes place over as well.

It’s topped out at 25,000 words and change, so a decent length novella, and a length I seem to hit quite often. Although I feel I’ve got all the elements for the story to work, I’m somewhat expecting to find something that I’ve missed. I know there’s some scenes that I need to cut that came from an older draft, and I’ve got to build other scenes. I’m pretty sure the romance that builds between two characters needs work, but unsurprisingly I’m not too worried about the torture side of the story!

Right, I’m just finishing the movie, Ash, then I’ll probably pop something on I know off by heart and then think about bed. It’s always a good day when you pass stage in a project. It’s nice knowing I’ve got the core of the story done now.
