Good evening, folks! How are we all doing this evening?
I didn’t get stuck in as early as I wanted to this morning, but I set out with the goal of editing ten thousand words on War Child. I ended up doing twelve thousand and fifty-five words, adding 243 in the process.
I’m in a stage where I’m thinking about what I’ve achieved writing this year. It feels like very little if I’m honest. Let’s have a look though. I’ve got a final draft of Black Blood done, which is serialised on my my Ko-Fi page. I’ve got a draft of Penal Earth 2 all but done. The ending needs work but overall I think it’s pretty strong. I’ve finally managed to get a story about a love triangle written, although it needs a lot of work to get it to where I want it.
I made early progress on a story set in the Penal Earth world, but it ran out of steam. I still like the characters, but I need to find a story for them. I wrote two short stories in this world as well.
I sold at a convention for the first time. It was great being back at a convention, albeit a little nerve racking being the other side of the table.

I was also on my first podcast as a solo guest, It was a lot of fun on The Sample Chapter Podcast with Jason Meuschke. The second episode has just come out, featuring me reading a chapter of Penal Earth. Please check the episodes out, it was great chatting to another writer again.
Although I haven’t published anything this year, it hasn’t been a failure. I’ve moved forward with a number of projects, been somewhat consistent and when I’ve had a few months where I can gather some money for editing and cover art, I’ve got four or five books ready to go. Now, If my car doesn’t have an issue or some other random event that is out of my control, I might get a few bits out into the world in the next eighteen months.
That said, if you’d like to check out my work, then please hop over to Amazon and have a peek!
