Howdy folks! How are we all doing today?
I got a lot done yesterday, I got the edits worked for The North Side and Gods Embrace of Light. Both stories I’m really happy with, and I think the characters that have grown in them have legs. After that I worked on some prep work for the anthology these two stories will appear in. It’s a ways off being ready but there’s a lot of potential there.
I also read through another chapter of beta reading and then did some editing for a Penal Earth story currently called Lana. This is the story I’m working on for the next week or two. Although the big frustration of the day was not being able to get my file to sync during my break at work. Which is why I did prep work for Lana in a notebook. One of the many reasons why I always have a notebook with me, so I brainstormed some ideas and made some notes which has grown a couple of characters, built a little bit of the world also.

I have also passed my 20 hour target for the month, so pretty pleased with that. Especially as there is still over a week to go.
Last week I watched Sea Fever. I’d seen it on streaming and had added it to my watchlist but hadn’t really gotten to it. Then I saw a horror facebook page mentioning it (I can’t remember which one), and I decided to give it a punt that night. I was really impressed. There was a couple of faces I recognised but the rest of the cast were new to me. The writing was good, directing was sharp and the acting was really good. There was some really good twists in the film, I liked the isolation of the setting. How the story grew, the way the characters interacted with each other and how it ended was fantastic. Definitely well worth the watch.
Right, I’m gonna get my head down. Have an awesome evening, folks!
