Howdy folks, how are we all doing today?

Yesterday I wrote 3420 words, and edited 1880 on the mech story in around three and a half hours. A lot of progress was made, but I think there’s a few bits I can add to which’ll strengthen the story. I’ll do that on the next draft though. I’m very near the end of this read through. If I pull my finger out it should be done by the end of the month.

Today, I don’t know if I’ll repeat yesterday’s numbers. I’ve woken up with a stiff right shoulder which is rather uncomfortable, not quite painful, just uncomfortable. So I don’t know how long I’ll be able to sit at my desk. But we’ll see.

I haven’t added to the Penal Earth story I’ve been working on, simply because my brain was mush yesterday after working on Mech. I am close to wrapping it up, but need to get stuck into when I’ve a decent chunk of time to bring the ending home. Twenty minutes here, thirty there, is all good and well but I think I’d like to nail the ending on this draft so I don’t have to fret over it when I work on the next draft. I feel like I’m struggling with writing endings at the moment, but I’m pretty sure how I want to play the ending out of this story. I know what happens to the protagonist, just not the path to get him home.

Right, I’m gonna wrap this here and get cracking on mech. I’m hungry but I want to get a few words down before I stop for food.
