This last week has been quite productive. Last Sunday night I sat down and mapped out what I wanted to achieve this week. The main one was to wrap up this edit of Penal Earth 2. Edit 10k on War Child; and as a stretch goal get some work down on the Lovers timeline.

First of all I managed to finish this edit pass of Penal Earth 2 on Monday….in an hour. This made me realise that I’m embarrassingly out of touch with the progress of my projects. It was a great morale boost ticking that off an hour and ten minutes into the writing week.

I tried to get the timeline sorted on Lovers as well, but I kinda crashed and burned on that one. I did a lot of work on it, but it’s also made me realise that I’ve not got the writing chops yet to pull of how I want to execute the story. So that’s shelved for the moment.

Tonight I have got to a significant point of War Child. I was aiming for a 10k edit of that story this week (a number I went for on Monday after wrapping PE2). I passed 21k and got to the end of what I’ve got written, and I’m confused because I seemed to have lost tens of thousands of words. So I’m gonna have to fire up my desktop and see if there was a saving to the cloud issue (I’ve been working on it on my laptop).

I also washed my car (it had been a while), cleaned out my mums greenhouse. Finally got my room close to good for what I need (the desk is finally set up again!!!!). I also got my daughter’s room tidied up, which wasn’t much work to be honest as it’s kept tidy.

Add in about 34 hours at work as well.

This level of productivity wasn’t in my toolbox six months ago. Coming off Sertraline had been a game changer for me. It wasn’t the right medication for me, it worked at first but I think I become immune in a way to it. Now I’m off it I’m hoping this is just the start of getting to the life I want to be living.

The numbers for the week are: 850 words written. 113 of that was on Penal Earth 2. The other 737 were on War Child. I edited 27,551 words. 6373 on Penal Earth 2, with 21,178 on War Child. I worked for about 410 minutes. 60 of which were Penal Earth 2. 80 minutes on Lovers, and 270 minutes on War Child.
