Howdy folks! How are we doing today?
I only wrote a couple of hundred words in a short story submission yesterday. I had an early, and I hadn’t slept well the previous night. I got home and did some bits around the house and then crashed out a touch.
I did finish rewatching season one of Altered Carbon. That first season really was something else. I think it’s one where everyone kind of nailed their roles. The production, direction, effects, wardrobe, stunts, everything kind of came together nicely. I listens to the book after and the changes for the adaptation worked. I think as long as an adaptation does hit certain notes then I’m quite happy with them.

It did take me far too long while listening to the book to realise why the AI hotel changed from The Hendrix to The Raven, and it created a great character in Poe. I think the actors name is Chris Connor and he aced that character.
I recently watched the second season, with Anthony Mackie taking over the role of Kovacs from Joel Kinnerman. The second season was good, but I don’t think Mackie was right for the role. Kinnerman’s Kovacs felt like a good guy being an arsehole because he had to be. Mackie’s Kovacs just felt like an arsehole.
I’ve downloaded the next two books of the Kovacs trilogy (I think it’s a trilogy) so I’m looking forward to them.
Right, time to get cracking: have an awesome day, folks.
