When I blog I tend to just throw a post up whenever I feel like it which means it often feels like the posts are a little slapped together. So I’m not going to publish my posts immediately after I’ve written them, well most of them anyway. instead I’m going to leave them and go back to them and read through to make sure that I am happy with them before publishing them. I have two posts that are in my ‘drafts’ box which I am kind of stuck on. I just can’t seem to get the feel I want for them so I’ll leave them there until I can get them right.
I really need to get the hang of editing as well. This is something that I have been struggling with for a while. I start doing it and I quickly feel like a fog is wrapping itself around my head, I don’t think doing it one a computer helps. I mean I think I need to print off the copy with the notes on it so I don’t have to keep switching from one file to another.
Needless to say I have not got very far with the editing. I did stay on track with my minimum of a hundred words a day (with the exception of last night). Although I’m not expecting any of these little snippets to get into the final, or any drafts of Project Apollo, I am finding it very helpful for working out some of the characters and for working through some of the plot ideas I’ve had to see what works. It’s also a handy way to test out some of the little details that I am not too sure about whether I want to include them in the story, again these are little world building details that we’ve not been to sure about.
PArt of the point for me is to put up the posts after they are done, with minimal editing. – Unless there is a specific thing I am trying to get, then I will do the majority of it, then a polishing up and publishing session.

Thats generally what I try to do as I like to keep the posts as natural as possible but sometimes impatience takes over and I just hit ‘Publish’ and sometimes I feel the posts lack some quality. I am going to try and leave the posts for a day or so and do as you say ‘Polish up and publishing session’ 🙂
