Flash Post – 1/5/24

A lower day than I’d have liked. I didn’t sleep too well though, insomnia really hit hard last night. So only 398 words.

I could have pushed through and tried to get some more written but I’m just wiped out. I had a few errands to run and bits and bobs to see to as well. But I wrote. This time last week I wouldn’t have even tried. So that’s a good start.

I am a writer living in merry old England. I don't earn a living from writing so work in a supermarket, which I love! But my passion is writing. I'm a much happier human being when I'm being productive and nothing feels better than getting stories finished. This is a blog I write mainly for myself, but I appreciate each and every view, like, and comment my posts receive. Mostly what I will be posting is a sort of writing journal, detailing my progress. I don't hold back. If I've had a bad day, I'll say so. I'm not going to sugar coat what my journey is. I will share my highs and lows. I'm not just going to talk about writing, I'll occasionally talk about other things from movies to my personal life. There are things that I will not be talking about, we all have parts of us we wish to remain private. I'm no different. Trust me, I am not an expert in any field at all and will no doubt ramble a lot, but that's what you'll all come to love about me!

  1. I got 400 words in and was thankful. I’m nannying a 2-year-old this month. You can’t even LOOK at your keyboard until they go down for the evening (and then you have clean up and shower). Busy day!

    • I don’t really try and write when I have my daughter. I might try a bit once she’s gone down but that’s rare. Although it’s quite cute at the moment as she wants to write on my computer now ☺️
