I got a good start this morning, knocking out 1502 words and then this afternoon I added another 642 to my word count. I’m struggling a little bit in that the ideas I was aiming to work on haven’t struck a nerve with me. So I’ve started typing up a short story I hand wrote over the last few weeks, that’s gone well but I am almost done with it. So I need to figure out which path I’m going to take with NaNo this year.

Something I’ve not really talked much about over the last few months is I’m in a relationship. I’ve met someone who is awesome and I feel better than I have done in a long time, and she’s a writer as well. It was really cool writing with her this morning, both working on our own projects but nice comparing notes and cheering each other on.

Back to NaNo though, I am 4746 words in and despite the need to figure out what I’m actually going to work on, I’m feeling confident.
