The last two months I’ve been failing as a writer. I’ve hit a few roadblocks, had non-writing related stress, and a few other things thrown on the pile.

I’ve set myself a target of 20 hours writing time this month and I’ve only hit half of that. This last nine days of the month or so I’m going to try and hit that simple 20 hour mark.

I’m the only one in my way. Yes, shit happens but I can find ways to still get work done. Even if some days it’s only a few minutes here or there.

I’m working on the Penal Earth bible type up at the moment. That’s really straight forward to do. I’m literally typing up notes.

I’ve finished an edit of the mech story. I’m really happy with a lot of this story, the next stage is going to be transferring it to Scrivener and breaking it into chapters and scenes properly. I do have one element of the story I need to work on but that’s hopefully not going to be too difficult once I’ve done some research. Then that’ll be ready for betas.

I think I might do my final pass on War Child and then get that off to beta readers. It’s all but done and I just want to make sure I’ve got grammar and continuity right before saying it’s done.

Penal Earth 2 is with Betas, and Penal 3 is very much in the early stages.

I’ve got plenty to focus on, I’ve just got to get better at organising myself and getting stuck into the next project when I’m done with another one.
