Good Morning, 23rd February 2021

Good morning, folks. I’ve been awake about an hour and have slowly eased into my day. I’ve got work later on this afternoon/evening but plenty of time before then to get some words wrangled.

My primary target this morning is to get the episode(I’m calling the individual stories episodes as I’m thinking of this book as a TV series in that the episodes all connect one way or another and build to a conclusion) I was stuck on last night finished. I’m still a little miffed that I didn’t get it done yesterday, but it is what it is. Sometimes we have to step back and try again tomorrow. That’s what I decided yesterday and I will be even more miffed if I have to roll it over to tomorrow. Honestly, I’m beginning to have a real love/hate relationship with this story. It’s a vital park of the book, it’s a turning point and points the story towards the conclusion of the book. So I need to get it right, and so far it’s just one part in the middle of this particular episode that I’m struggling with.

One of our garden visitors ☺️

I do also need to get a story edited that I’ve written for a book I’ve been invited to submit to. I’ve got the first draft done and the next stage is to get a digital edit done. I’d like to have it done by the end of the month so I might prioritise that one tomorrow.

Right, I’m off to get some work done.

Have a great day, folks!

  1. Good luck wrangling your words today. I got up early and got in 601. I don’t expect any more today, but I will study for a bit this evening. I’m slowly working my way through Word Painting as well as Waggoner’s Writing in the Dark which has been nominated for a Bram Stoker award because it’s really good.:-)

Is that a pheasant? They are not native to the US, and I’ve never seen one, but supposedly there are a few flying around here.
