Good Morning(Afternoon), 2nd January 2022

Good morning, folks!

After a late night of gaming I decided to have a lay in this morning, and I think it was needed.

Yesterday I wrote 567 words, I think. It was about that number anyway.

It was a decent session. I hand wrote for the first time in a good couple of years and found it to be quite therapeutic. Last year I was struggling with writing, particularly towards the end of the year so it was a relief to be able to get some words down. It’s a story that’s in a universe I’ve already got set up but I’m not sure just how much I’m going to cross over with the main storyline that I’ll be working on.

I’m quite happy with the scheme I gave this one ☺️

Today will be a little more of a low key day with writing. I’ve got some other bits to work on before I’m going to start writing.

Have an awesome day, folks!

  1. I agree, writing by hand is therapeutic. I read through my “The Hay Bale” manuscript this morning. It took me 4.5 hours. (It’s not that long, but fixing typos and so forth made it take a long time.) I’m a little cross-eyed now, so I’m going for a walk. I plan to upload the thing to Kindle later today. This is my first experience self-publishing, so I hope I don’t botch the whole Kindle uploading process! Enjoy the rest of your day, Peter!

      • Oh, thank you! I haven’t gotten it uploaded yet, but I’m working on it. Amazon says I have to upload it early so they have time to evaluate it and make sure it meets their criteria. (If it doesn’t, do I get to try again? I don’t know, having never done this.) It’s supposed to go live on the 10th, and I’ll be sure to let you know!
