Howdy folks, I’m sitting here watching the Arsenal game, and we’ve just conceded a second and I’m reminded of why I don’t watch games, I’m bad luck lol!
Anyway, to the writing part of my day. I’ve written 1106 words today. Most of those were this evening. I’m finding this routine to be working quite well at the moment. I’m trying to get a few words before work and or during my break, and then doing a slow burn session over a couple of hours while having the TV on in the background. Although I don’t feel this is ideal, I am getting words down and have passed the 1000 word mark each day in the last four. Just those four days I’ve probably doubled my word count for the month, and more importantly feel like I’m pulling myself out of the rut I’ve been in recently. Even down to managing my sleep patterns I’m trying to find the best way to maximise that. At the moment it’s having a nap in the afternoon and then going to bed the sort of time that I’ve been doing for most of my life. Those few hours in the afternoon make up for getting up about 4am for early morning shifts.

Right, I’m going to wrap this up. I might do a little red pen reading before watching the second Friday The 13th movie. I’ve a long shift tomorrow but am off Saturday so I’m going to try and have a non-writing ‘get shit done day’ as well as getting those 1000 words down. That’s kind of my informal target each day at the moment.

Have an awesome evening, folks!

I think 1000 words/day is an admirable goal. I finally got my short story submitted today. Tomorrow: novel outlining.
