Howdy folks!
My NaNo went out the window somewhat, I ended up with a breath over 30k for the month, which I’m rather happy with.
My November was not what I expected. I had a breakup (it’s all cool, we’re aiming to build a friendship and I’m looking forward to dot catching up with her later this week). But what really buggered me up was some severe insomnia. When I had a lot of trials going on in my personal life a few years ago I had about three months of getting about an hour and a half, to two hours in any twenty-four hour period. This was much worse than that, and for me when I’m tired everything is a bit of a mission. I’m sure most people feel this to be honest.
The lack of sleep knocked me back mental health wise. But I’ve got tools I’ve been taught on how to help myself from falling into a hole.
What also knocked me a little was stuttering with NaNo. I fell into the story I ended up working on, and I’ve realised I need to do more prep work before starting some of the projects I’ve got going on. I can’t just wing it anymore. Which is fair enough, if I’m going to do what I want to as a writer then that could be the path I need to follow for the moment.

Right now, I’m feeling pretty good, I had a couple of great weekends with my little one, work, family, and friends are pretty darn good, and the words are beginning to flow again.
Right, I need some sleep!
I hope everyone is well and cracking on!
Ugh, insomnia sucks. Glad you’re sleeping better now!

It’s still a little touch and go at titles but I’m getting there 🙂
